For some time now we have
requested a greater access to ADF personnel regarding info for
cadets interested in the possibility of taking on a
career in the ADF. Well, our HQ has been listening and as a
result are staging a Careers Information Camp in week 2 of the
upcoming April school holidays for eligible members of the
ADFC. The camp provides the best opportunity to hear specific
information for ADF careers for Army, Navy and Air Force
cadets.
At the camp there will be expert speakers including Pilots, Bomb Disposal, Special
Forces, Fire Fighting, Technical Specialists, Air Traffic
Controllers, Weapons Specialists and many more. There will
also be visits to Army, Navy and Air Force establishments. See
mil equipment up close and find out how it works. Participate
in adventurous activities such as WTSS, assault courses,
rock climbing and a night out in Sydney. Finally, you will
attend a proper Mess Dining-In Night hosted by senior Defence
Officials.
All costs for transport, rations
and accommodation will be covered by Defence.
The specific details with
regards kit list, timings and location(s) will be advised
shortly. This is a new and exciting program by the ADF that I
feel we should fully support, that way the ADF will stage
bigger and better ones in the future.
You must be 16 or over to
nominate - if you are, I urge you to
nominate your wish to attend via email
asap. Completed documentation
must be to CAPT Wark NLT Tue, 20th Feb.

Major Move
The move that was on the horizon
for over six months has finally taken place. 206ACU has
relocated from North Sydney Boys High School (the home
of 206ACU since 1917; for 87 years) to Marist College,
North Shore.
This move has presented the
unit with better facilities and grounds than NSBHS, and
the prospect for expansion looks excellent.
Recently introduced is the Achievement
Awards Page, to honour the cadets or NCO's who
have achieved a standard higher than that required
or expected.
